Sustainability
At Highgate Primary School, we work together to place sustainability at the heart of everything we do. Through our curriculum, visitors into school and the school’s Green Council, we aim to raise awareness of the effects of climate change and the need to protect our environment.
The Green Council
The school’s Green Council consists of two children from each class, led by our Sustainability Lead and Reception teacher, Tom Bhanji. The Green Council is further supported by parents who feel strongly about environmental issues and have time to work with them.
The Green Council strives to support the school to increase awareness on environmental issues and help the commu engage with current environmental issues. The Green Council supports the PSA to have more environmentally friendly events and supports the school in organising the annual Sustainability Week.
