Last week, the school welcomed back Kate Stilitz for the annual Year 6 performance of Beowulf.
In the space of a few days, a captivating show came together telling the story of the brave warrior’s quest against fearsome and terrifying beasts. It featured atmospheric chanting, choreographed routines and a very impressive Year 6 band.
Since the performance, our oldest children have been learning more about the story, learning how to write an effective setting description and studying the ways in which characters are introduced through ‘show not tell’. A perfect example of the wealth of creativity embedded within the Highgate Primary Curriculum.
