William Dean – Headteacher
William went to school in St Albans before studying Social History and Politics at the University of Exeter. After a short first career in marketing, he retrained to become a teacher in 1993. Since then, he has been a class teacher at Osidge Primary School in Southgate, Deputy Headteacher at Rhodes Avenue and Headteacher of Highgate Primary School, where he has remained since his appointment in 2008.
Now in his 18th year as Head, he is still excited by what children are capable of achieving when they are given a supportive learning environment, consistently great teaching and a creative curriculum that inspires.
Beyond school, William still plays cricket, is an avid gardener and enjoys long walks in the Suffolk countryside with his Giant Schnoodle, Horace!
