Highgate Primary School welcomes, appreciates and values the contribution of all of our wonderful volunteers.
Our team of volunteers fulfils many different roles, all of which support children’s learning and wellbeing.
The school relies on our Better Reading Partners, each of whom makes a commitment to regularly read with a child in the school library. Forest School sessions couldn’t take place without our volunteers who accompany groups of children to Highgate Woods or the school allotment. Cooking in the cookery studio relies on parent volunteers too!
Parents are also invited to come into school to share their expertise, whether it be a talk to children about their experience working as an archaeologist or sharing their experience working in an operating theatre.
Volunteering in school provides an insight into how the school works and the enjoyment the can come through a careers working in children, indeed many of staff members started their careers working as volunteers at Highgate Primary School
